Siomai


Siomai is one of my fave foods..I still remember that before and after work, i used to drop by and eat at 'Siomai food cart located at LRT station in phil..It' really taste good. enough for my lunch or dinner. and now i'm here at usa.. need to make it on my own recipe

Ingredients:

2 ½ lbs ground beef

5 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tbsp ground black pepper

1 cup onion, minced

1 cup carrots, minced

1 pack won ton wrapper

¼ cup scallions, minced

2 tsp salt

1 piece raw egg

1 tbs soy sauce

1 tsp sugar


Procedure

1. Mix all the ingredients for the filling in a bowl.
2. Spoon 1 tablespoon of mixture into each wrapper. Fold and seal.
3. In another pot, boil water and brush steamer with oil.
4. When the water is starting to boil, arrange the siomai in the steamer and let stand for 15-20 minutes, longer for larger pieces.
5. Serve with soy sauce, calamansi and sesame oil.

How to make chili

5 tbs crushed red pepper
5 tbs soy sauce
garlic

method

first fry the garlic until it gets brown then mix soy sauce and crushed red pepper for about 10 minutes ..
